This Ghashgai antique rug measures 208 x 305 cm and shows an allover arrangement of geometric cross forms set against a dusty blue-grey ground, with accents of red, ivory, brown, and pale blue. The border system is finely worked, building a decorative frame of small-scale motifs that echoes the central field without overwhelming it. Low distress keeps the drawing clear, while gentle wear and softened colour lend the piece an easy, lived-in presence. Circa 1940 - 1965, it reflects the measured geometry and tactile surface often prized in tribal weaving.
