A pale border in cream and white surrounds the composition with repeating boteh and floral ornament, while the brown, neutral, and muted grey-blue palette is lifted by traces of rust. The surface shows medium distress, with visible fading, abrasion, and gently irregular edges that emphasise its age. Circa 1900 - 1920, this piece reflects the layered pattern language and time-softened presence that give Ghashgai rugs their enduring character.
