This Caucasian antique rug measures 119 x 183 cm and carries a richly tiered arrangement of geometric medallions, stylised blossoms, and finely patterned borders. Woven in wool, it combines a dark navy ground with red, cream, white, and gold notes, giving the design depth and clarity even as the surface has softened with age. The outer borders and narrow guard stripes bring a measured frame to the central bands, which read as orderly and expressive at once. Circa 1880 - 1900, this antique rug shows low distress, gentle wear, and a settled, heritage-rich presence.
