This Kysari antique rug measures 119 x 175 cm and brings together a deep red field with mellow brown, cream, white, and muted blue notes. The composition is centred by a mihrab-inspired form, then framed by layered borders of floral rosettes, octagonal motifs, and finely drawn guards that give the piece its ordered, heritage-rich presence. Medium distress is visible in the softened palette and age-worn surface, adding quiet texture without diminishing clarity. Circa 1880 - 1895, it reads as a wool rug with depth, balance, and an assuredly collected character.
