This Kysari combines a gentle central medallion with mirrored palmettes and an ornate palmette border, all softened to a wash of cream, beige and sage. The scrolling floral field is worn to a filigree of pattern, where subtle abrash and touches of faded rose and blue animate the neutral ground. An antique rug with an ageing, tactile surface, it measures 132 x 163 cm and shows medium wear with frayed fringes and light losses that lend character. Circa 1895 - 1915, the rug reads as a quiet, heritage piece with a considered, pared-back palette.
