This Kysari antique rug measures 135 x 180 cm and offers a prayer-rug composition with a rich red field, arched centre, and finely tiered floral borders. Cream, ivory, pale gold, and muted blue accents quiet the intensity of the ground, while the surrounding bands lend structure and ornament in equal measure. The wool surface shows low distress, with visible wear that has gently softened the drawing and left an appealing sense of age. Circa 1850 - 1870, it reflects the restrained character and tactile depth that define a Woven selection.
