This Caucasian antique rug measures 104 x 320 cm and presents a long, narrow composition with striking tribal geometry. A deep brick red ground is animated by three stacked medallions, worked in navy, teal, ivory, and muted yellow, with small floral devices scattered between them. The border carries a lively series of angular and flower motifs that frame the field with restraint. Wool pile shows low distress, softened colour, and honest wear at the edges, all of which enhance its aged character. Circa 1900 - 1930, this piece carries the measured balance and graphic energy often associated with Caucasian weaving.
