This Kysari antique rug measures 124 x 185 cm, with a restrained central field framed by layered borders and an architectural prayer-arch composition. Wool gives the surface a soft, tactile presence, while the palette of neutral, red, white, and cream settles into earthy red-brown and muted grey tones through age. Repeating floral and geometric motifs lend structure and rhythm around the open centre, which feels calm against the denser border work. Circa 1885 - 1900, it shows medium distress, with softened pile, gentle fading, and worn edges that add to its heritage character.
