The central field is surrounded by multiple floral borders, fine linear guards, and darker decorative panels at the top and base, giving the composition balance and depth. Cream, neutral taupe, soft red, faded blue, and charcoal sit together in a muted register, with silk lending a subtle sheen. Medium distress and visible wear temper the clarity of the pattern. Circa 1880 - 1900, it feels poised, quiet, and beautifully weathered.
