This Caucasian antique rug measures 122 x 193 cm and carries a strong, architectural presence in wool. A dark central field is organised around a vertical run of serrated geometric medallions in rust, ivory, and muted gold, set within a finely worked border of repeating tribal forms. The palette is earthy and restrained, with enough variation to keep the surface lively and layered. Circa 1880 - 1900, it shows the grounded geometry and textural softness that define classic Caucasian weaving, with low distress and a gently aged character.
