This Caucasian antique rug measures 107 x 160 cm and is woven in wool with a rich red ground, lifted by blue, cream, and neutral notes. The composition is built around a central medallion and elongated geometric floral motifs, with smaller rosettes and hooked details scattered throughout the field. A bold zigzag border provides structure and contrast at the edge. Low distress shows through in the worn, faded surface and gentle abrash-like shifts that soften the palette. Circa 1900 - 1930, this piece retains the direct, graphic character and tactile age that define a finely weathered antique rug.
