This Sarab antique rug measures 86 x 279 cm and carries the elongated rhythm of a classic runner. Four stacked medallions anchor the field, each surrounded by small geometric accents and a lively border of hooked and linear motifs. The wool surface shows medium distress, with softened contrast and scattered wear that lends the palette a muted, weathered quality. Brick red, indigo, dusty blue, sage and ivory settle into one another with quiet depth. Circa 1920 - 1940, it reads as grounded and expressive, with the kind of visual movement that defines a Sarab.
