This Bakhtiari antique rug measures 373 x 439 cm and carries an intricate allover field of floral blossoms, vinework, and a central medallion. The deep ground sets off a restrained yet varied palette of rust, ivory, muted blue, sage, camel, and faded rose, creating a surface with warmth and depth. Surrounding borders add structure and movement, enclosing the composition with classic Bakhtiari character. Circa 1910 - 1930, it retains a gentle worn presence, with low distress and softened contrast that emphasise the textile’s age and quiet richness. The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time.
