This Bakhtiari antique rug measures 439 x 648 cm and offers a garden-like field of repeating arched panels, each filled with stylised trees and delicate floral growth. The dark structural lattice is softened by time, allowing the ivory ground, muted rose, olive, camel, and charcoal accents to read with quiet depth. The border work remains intricate, with small geometric and floral notes framing the larger composition. With medium wear, gentle fading, and a lived-in wool surface, it feels well aged without losing definition. Circa 1925 - 1945, it is a graceful expression of Bakhtiari design.
