This Kysari antique rug, 132 x 208 cm, is woven in silk and composed with a deep, intricate field of burgundy, ivory, gold, brown, and dark navy. A central medallion sits within dense floral ornament, framed by ordered borders and vine-like arabesques that lend the piece a layered, courtly rhythm. The surface shows low distress, with softened colour, slight fading, and visible age at the fringes and outer edges. Circa 1900 - 1920, it offers a tactile, heritage-rich presence with elegant restraint. The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time.
