This Kysari antique rug measures 117 x 157 cm and is woven in silk with a refined, softly aged surface. A warm red field anchors the composition, while cream, neutral, soft green, and muted blue details outline the borders and floral cartouches. The central arrangement has an architectural rhythm, with twin niche-like forms and ornamental bands at the top and base. Low distress and gentle fading soften the contrast, giving the piece a calm, time-worn character. Circa 1900 - 1915, it reflects the delicate balance of colour, pattern, and patina that defines the Kysari tradition.
