A prayer-niche centre is outlined by layered borders, floral cartouches, and fine scrolling ornament, while the field settles into a palette of cream, blush red, and pale terracotta. Medium distress lends softened contrast, visible fading, and a gently abraded surface that gives the pattern an aged, nuanced depth. Circa 1900 - 1915, it reads as composed yet well travelled, with its faded detail and tactile silk finish shaping the overall atmosphere.
