This Farahan Sarouk antique rug measures 282 x 478 cm and carries an elegant palette of ivory, deep red, navy, and gold. The composition centres on a stepped medallion framed by a pale ground, with slender floral vines and multiple borders building rhythm around the field. Woven in wool, it shows low distress and a gently aged surface, where the colour has softened into a warm, lived-in register. Circa 1900 - 1915, it reflects the poised ornament and layered detail that define a well-composed Farahan Sarouk. The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time.
