The design centres on a scalloped medallion within a finely worked floral field, framed by layered borders with lattice motifs, vine scrolls, and small blossom elements. The silk has a gentle sheen that has softened with age, and the medium distress gives the surface a mellow, lived-in character. Circa 1900 - 1915, it carries a poised ornamental presence, balanced between delicacy and visible wear.
