This Kysari antique rug in silk measures 117 x 178 cm and has a gently faded, tactile surface. A washed red ground is balanced by charcoal, cream, and ivory detail, with a scalloped central medallion, dense floral layering, and a framed border of repeating motifs. The design retains clarity despite visible wear, which has softened the contrast and given the whole piece a more hushed, atmospheric character. Circa 1900 - 1915, it reads as a finely aged textile with quiet presence, where the palette and pattern have settled into a harmonious, well-travelled composition.
