This Kysari antique rug measures 132 x 193 cm and is woven in silk, with a softened palette of cream, blush red, muted terracotta, warm grey and pale gold. Its layered composition gathers a small central medallion, scrolling floral forms and geometric framing into a balanced, timeworn field. The borders are richly worked yet gently faded, allowing the design to read with restraint and depth. Circa 1895 - 1910, the surface carries medium distress, with visible wear and a tactile, luminous finish that suits the refined delicacy of the material.
