This Nain antique rug measures 48 x 61 cm and offers a compact prayer-rug composition in deep navy, cream, white, pale aqua, coral, and red. A central vase rises into a flowering vine, while small animal and bird motifs add movement to the upper field and lower corners. The narrow borders create a neat frame around the design, keeping the ornament crisp and centred. Woven in wool and showing low distress, with some fringe wear and softened edges, it retains a clear, tactile character. Circa 1970 - 1985, it reflects the poised drawing often associated with Nain rugs.
