A deep field surrounds a pale central medallion, with scrolling foliage, floral garlands, and decorative cartouche forms arranged in cream, gold, blush, sage, and soft blue. The outer border provides structure through palmettes and stylised ornament, creating contrast with the lighter interior. Medium distress brings softened colour and visible wear, enhancing the rug’s aged character. Circa 1880 - 1900, it offers a composed, heritage-led presence, with wool contributing a grounded and tactile finish.
