A silk Kysari softened to a poetic neutral, this example shows a broad radiating floral medallion set within a scrolling vine field and layered floral border. The cream ground and warm beige accents are tempered by medium wear, revealing the silk fibre's gentle lustre and a painterly abrash across the field. The balance between faded pattern and remaining detail gives the piece a quietly archival quality. Circa 1900 - 1915. This antique rug measures 284 x 439 cm and carries a tactile patina that foregrounds age, handwork and considered materiality.
