A Turkish wool runner, 99 x 320 cm, composed in a calm neutral colourway of cream, ivory and warm brown. Repeating stepped hexagonal medallions form a measured procession down the field, their centres accented by floral rosettes and angular motifing, contained by a narrow floral guard border. The pile shows medium wear with even abrash and a soft, worn patina that reinforces the tactile quality of the wool. The piece reads as an antique rug with quiet craft and heritage presence, its tones aged to a warm, considered finish. Circa 1925 - 1940
