This Sarab runner, handwoven in wool, is an antique rug with an intimate, linear presence. A deep indigo field carries a repeating boteh and diamond lattice with modest central medallion accents, balanced by pale-blue guard stripes and a rust main border. The wide tan outer margin bears small hooked motifs that give the piece a quiet rhythm. Wear is low, the pile retains a soft fibre hand and there is subtle abrash across the field that suggests age rather than loss. Circa 1900 - 1915. Measurements: 102 x 323 cm.
