An antique rug, a Ravar Kerman in wool, its repeating palmettes and arabesques spread across a navy ground and warm tan field. At 305 x 622 cm the expansive allover floral register sits within softened, multi-tiered borders that feel like a faded garden plan. Circa 1920 - 1935. The piece shows medium distress with visible abrash, softened pile and gently worn borders revealing a mellow neutral brown colourway. Despite age the original drawing remains clear; the result is a quietly historic wool rug with a tactile, timeworn surface. The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time.
