A Machine-Made wool runner, 147 x 251 cm, rendered with the compositional sensibility of a small tapestry. A cream ground hosts an allover botanical lattice in green and neutral tones, articulated with bird forms and palmettes; repeated floral guard borders and a zigzag inner band contain the field. The wool fibre has a soft, low-sheen hand and shows gentle abrash with a central fold from years of use. The piece reads as an antique rug in spirit, marrying period ornament to precise twentieth-century manufacture. Circa 1975 - 1995. The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time.
