Kysari in silk, centred on a low-contrast medallion and an all-over floral vine that resolves into cream and white highlights against a neutral ground. The silk pile carries a subtle sheen, tempered by medium wear and visible abrash, which harmonise the original tones into a softened, layered surface. The borders repeat floral rosettes and palmettes with a composed symmetry, lending the piece a studied, tactile presence. This antique rug balances delicate pattern with a lived-in patina, inviting close inspection of fibre and finish. Circa 1850 - 1865. Measures 201 x 302 cm with gentle surface wear.
