An elongated Sarab runner, handwoven in wool to 114 x 356 cm, the composition works through subtle bands of neutral ground filled with repeated guls in red and cream. Ivory inner guards and a dark red outer guard contain the field, while low, even wear and discreet abrash give the pile a soft, tactile finish. This antique rug balances geometric rhythm and quiet colour, its medallion-like motifs arranged in precise rows that read as a relaxed, artisanal weave. Circa 1910 - 1925. The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time.
