This Ravar Kerman presents a subtle, tonal ground enlivened by an all-over floral vine and palmette vocabulary, the suggestion of a central medallion held within repeating floral guards. Wool construction shows medium wear and a soft, abrased surface that accentuates the cream, white and brown palette with an aged restraint. The narrow, botanical border keeps the composition composed and intimate, evidence of long use and careful mending. Circa 1915 - 1930. Size: 279 x 366 cm.
