This Donegal folds classic palmettes and a restrained floral lattice into a calm neutral ground, the design linked by fine trailing vines and scattered rosettes. A generous red border contains cartouche squares and repeat florals in cream and muted tones; the wool shows low, even wear with subtle abrash and a soft hand. The composition reads as an antique rug with an archival sense of colour and proportion, confidently worn rather than overstated. Circa 1905 - 1925. Size: 340 x 427 cm.
