This Kysari in silk features a deep red centre populated by cream and white garden motifs, rendered with a delicate, tactile sheen. The composition is mihrab-like, with stylised trees, birds and small animals set within a floral border in neutral tones. Surface wear is minimal, the silk showing a soft abrash and modest fringe loss that add calm, historic character. As an antique rug the piece retains an intimate presence at 130 x 160 cm, its colour and weave language evoking earlier workshop practice. Circa 1860 - 1880 The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time.
