This Sarab in wool presents a restrained antique rug, a compact lattice field resolving into a softened central medallion with scalloped corner spandrels. Executed in neutral, white and cream, the surface shows subtle abrash and even fading that emphasise the pile’s tactile fibre. Geometric guard borders are quietly defined while a medium level of distress softens the motifs and lends a mellow patina to the design. The piece measures 203 x 305 cm and holds a composed, aged presence that balances pattern and patina. Circa 1910 - 1930. The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time.
