This Shirvan presents a richly patterned field of stepped star medallions and compact floral tiles, the neutral ground enlivened by varied greens and warm terracotta accents. Multiple guard borders articulate the composition, each filled with octagonal and floral motifs in close repetition. Wool pile shows low overall wear, with gentle abrash and even fading that enhance the woven texture. Size 127 x 236 cm. Circa 1850 - 1870. It reads as a refined antique rug with preserved colour definition and the composed geometry typical of classical Shirvan weaving. The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time.
