A silk Kysari with a pronounced central medallion and layered palmette borders, measuring 173 x 267 cm. This antique rug shows a warm red ground that graduates into neutral ivories and rich brown accents; the silk fibre has taken on a muted sheen. Floral vines and palmettes retain fine detail amid an even, medium distress that produces pleasing abrash and softened contrasts. The outer border reads in cooler neutrals, framing the composition with an aged, tactile calm. Circa 1900 - 1915. The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time.
