A central palmette medallion sits within a field of scrolling floral vines and is framed by a broad floral border. The surface exhibits medium, even wear and painterly abrash that softens the pattern and highlights the silk fibre's subtle sheen. The composition reads as an antique rug with a calm, aged presence; edges show light wear consistent with use. Circa 1900 - 1915. Measurements: 196 x 239 cm.
