A silk Kysari shown in a panelled arrangement of nine compartments, each with palmettes, stylised boteh and a modest architectural scene. The colourway is soft cream and warm beige with subtle coral and pale green shading. Medium distress and even abrash have softened the silk fibre to a subdued, tactile sheen, gently wearing the motif edges. Narrow floral borders provide a delicate, timeworn frame. This antique rug carries a collected character where craft and age remain legible in the surface. Circa 1895 - 1910. Size: 198 x 264 cm. The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time.
