This Bakhtiari reveals a large central medallion on a mellow neutral field, the wool showing layered brown and red tones and soft abrash throughout. Floral arabesques radiate from the centre, balanced by defined corner spandrels and a succession of floral borders that retain pattern despite medium wear. The surface has a subdued lustre and a worn, tactile finish that underscores age and use. An antique rug with restrained, heritage character, presented in measured proportions at 396 x 640 cm. Circa 1890 - 1910. The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time.
