A finely drawn Bakhtiari in wool, this antique rug carries a palmette-lattice composition across cream and gold planes with neutral accents. Boteh-like palmettes and repeating geometric medallions form disciplined registers, the field showing gentle abrash and low wear while decorative detailing remains legible. A narrow floral guard border contains the composition and gives a measured historic frame to the piece. The rug measures 414 x 610 cm and reads as a tactile, woven object with subtle patina. Circa 1885 - 1900, the work is quietly aged and carefully preserved, confident in its material presence.
