A Sarab in wool, 147 x 297 cm, composed around an allover boteh-lattice with small floral fillers and a narrow geometric medallion border. Muted red and terracotta are balanced by warm brown and beige grounds, with touches of faded blue in the guard stripes. Low distress and soft abrash preserve clear pattern definition while giving the surface a warm, handled patina. Read as an antique rug with restrained tone and subtle age; the overall character and wear point to an early twentieth-century weave. Circa 1900 - 1915. The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time.
