The Sarab presents a restrained arrangement of octagonal medallions and stepped palmettes in coral and muted blues against a soft neutral ground. Multiple narrow guards lead to an ivory outer border of linked rosettes, and the wool fibre shows low wear and subtle abrash that mellow the colours without obscuring the pattern. The overall effect is tactile and quietly aged, an antique rug that retains crisp motif definition and a linen-like softness. 206 x 351 cm. Circa 1900 - 1920.
