This Ravar Kerman is a large antique rug, 406 x 574 cm, composed of a repeating palmette and boteh lattice with delicate floral infill. The wool field reads in soft green and neutral colourways with a muted red ground, framed by multiple guard borders and a wide scrolling palmette outer border. Wear is low, the pile softened with subtle abrash that gives the surface an aged, tactile patina while the border motif remains crisply defined. Circa 1920 - 1940. The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time.
