Linked medallions run vertically through the field, their dark outlines and sparing red accents providing architectural clarity. A narrow floral border contains the design and the wool fibre shows low wear with a soft, tactile surface. The elongated 226 x 462 cm format emphasises rhythm and proportion while retaining a gentle, timeworn glow. Circa 1900 - 1920, the piece reads as a study in colour, texture and craft.
