A silk Kysari presenting a central medallion within a scalloped field, traced by delicate floral vines and vertical palmettes. The muted red field softens to neutral and cream highlights, the border showing white motifs on a darker ground. Medium distress and gentle abrash create a layered, tactile surface with subtle sheen typical of silk fibre. An antique rug with quiet patina and considered composition. Wear is even, the pile reading low where the silk catch reveals pale highlights. Circa 1880 - 1900. Measures 137 x 198 cm, a modestly scaled Kysari that balances intricate pattern and softened colour.
