Zaboul / 10856

This Zaboul is a finely worn wool piece, its neutral and cream colourway warmed by touches of light blue and tan. Octagonal medallions repeat across the field, balanced by star and lozenge secondary motifs and a banded border. The medium distress and visible abrash have softened pattern edges and flattened the pile, producing a calm, tactile surface that reads as an antique rug with lived-in depth. Measurements: 124 x 244 cm. Circa 1905 - 1920. The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time. Subtle tonal variation keeps the drawing legible and grounded.
