The wider floral border sits in a mellowed, darker register, offering a composed frame to the gentle abrash of the centre. Medium wear has softened the pile and mellowed the original contrasts, producing an antique rug with a serene, tactile presence. Circa 1910 - 1930. The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time.
