Measuring 216 x 351 cm, this Ghom quietly balances intricate floral drawing with a luminous neutral ground. The ivory centre is enlivened by disciplined vines, palmettes and small-scale blossoms in blues and cream, set within a narrow navy and rust guard border. Wool provides a tactile, low-wear surface and the colours remain even with only a subtle patina. Circa 1950 - 1965. As an antique rug its refined motifs and compact scale read as an object of considered craft, preserved edges and restrained colouration that retain original character without pronounced restoration.
