This Hamadan antique rug measures 130 x 185 cm and presents a refined, timeworn arrangement with a deep central field, repeating floral medallions, and a lattice of angular linework that organises the design. The multiple borders, worked in brown, ivory, muted teal, and rust, add definition without interrupting the rug’s subdued cadence. Medium distress is visible throughout, with softened pattern detail, gentle fading, and a mellowed surface that speaks to age. Circa 1910 - 1935, it offers the grounded ornament and restrained colouration often associated with Hamadan weaving, rendered here with a quietly weathered finish.
