This Mahal antique rug measures 307 x 305 cm and offers a restrained, timeworn read of the classic Mahal format. Its floral field, layered borders, and softened central impression are now rendered in a pale palette of ivory, taupe, faded blue, and soft grey, with subtle touches of muted tan and blush. High distress has blurred the finer ornament, leaving a richly aged surface with depth, character, and gentle tonal variation. Circa 1915 - 1930.
